Global Investor Day
CONTEXT
Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) is a leader in human and animal nutrition, and the world’s premier agricultural origination and processing company. In the spring of 2021, ADM sought out an agency partner to help plan and produce a Global Investor Day, its first since 2014. The event offered a unique opportunity to immerse key investor audiences in the rich and evolving ADM narrative, present the company’s strategy, and share its commitment to leadership, innovation, and sustainability. With that in mind, Touch was engaged to help design and flawlessly deliver a compelling event.
OUR APPROACH
The project began with a series of strategy workshops with their senior executive team, to clarify objectives and align on the approach. The Touch team collaborated with internal ADM stakeholders from the investor relations, communications, and brand teams to develop presentation content, 2D graphics, motion graphics, a show-open video, and supporting video stories, also providing 1:1 presentation coaching to enhance and fine-tune the event’s relevance and impact.
The original vision for ADM Global Investor Day was an in-person event in Manhattan, brought to life with a series of immersive live attendee experiences that featured company milestones and brought current priorities to life. But as new Covid variants emerged, ADM made the decision to pivot from the in-person event in New York City to a live event broadcast from a Chicago studio.
Backup plans were quickly activated: a simple stage configuration with an LED backdrop and a variety of striking background graphics helped ensure the integrity of the program, which was optimized for the audience joining via live webcast. With our webcast partner, Touch delivered a live stream of the program content that concluded with a live executive Q&A to further engage virtual attendees. The program included 12 speakers from ADM, and secured 1,195 unique registered viewers with a total program time of three content-rich hours.
Our team was thrilled to build a productive working relationship with ADM’s executives, which helped deliver such an impactful experience for its most important stakeholders.
