Otava is one of the biggest and most successful publishing companies in Finland. The company recently engaged Touch to create a very popular reading campaign specifically designed to support the company’s sales efforts, to help modernize its brand image, and to promote literacy across Finland.
Finns have always been active readers. Late in 2010, Otava engaged Touch because they were concerned that the pressure from other activities didn’t seem to leave Finns as much time to read anymore. The result was the highly successful ”Reading is a brain thing” campaign that reinforces those who do read – and provides a strong reason to read for those who don’t.
